Clock information.

As mentioned on the 'Home' page, the digital clock facility needs both Javascript and Flash to be enabled.
An internet connection to www.ClockLink.com is also necessary to get the digital clock display that site supplies.
With no Javascript or Flash, the message 'Javascript? Flash?' appears.
A blank message should appear, if Javascript is enabled but Flash is not.
If you use Mozilla Firefox and don't have Flash installed the browser will show a window enabling you to download it.
Note: the digital clock display reverts to your computer's system clock, if you lose your connection.

Most computers come with Adobe System's Flash player pre-installed.
It is also called Shockwave Flash, Macromedia Flash or just Flash.
It is a technology developed to watch video by Adobe and previously by Macromedia.
If you don't have it installed, you can get a free download from www.adobe.com/downloads/.

Has the digital time display stopped?
Seemingly there is a bug in the Opera browser, because sometimes the time display does stop, when using Opera.
If this happens, try double clicking on the tab labelled 'Penrith Ramblers web site' at the bottom of the screen.
This has been found to re-activate the display.
(You could also try this, if the clock stops, when using other browsers.)

A free programme to set up your computer system's clock to a high accuracy is 'Atomic Clock Sync 2.7.0.3'.
This can be downloaded from a number of download sites including www.download.com and www.winsite.com.
